After the Living room Shot that was pretty easy to achieve, the fun began. The kitchen had the most unusual island I ever saw. I dont know how to call it... custom? Anyway, to make this hilarious I had Warm Fluorescent recessed lights (I wanted them on), under the cabinets lights fluorescent of course, an over the Sink Window, everything in OAK and the walls & ceiling yellowish. Shortly... a white balance nightmare. This is what I came up at the end, after about 7 minutes of chimping and moving lights: ![]() How I did this: I had 4 lights here, 1 on camera for subtle WAD fill and three SB-80dx
The Ambient Light is taken with the same lens and settings as the actual shot, except no flash. The others are taken with a 8mm fisheye lens, to cover as much as possible of the geometry and position of the lights. |
